Azcárraga Enfrenta Boicot y Pérdidas Económicas en Televisa

* PIERDE MAS DINERO EN ESPAÑA: LA SOCIEDAD CON ROURES, UN FRACASO

* EMILIO AZCARRAGA, "CASADO" CON DOS GRUPOS PERDEDORES DE ESPAÑA

El consorcio mexicano Televisa, todavía líder mundial en televisión de habla hispana, enfrenta nuevamente dos retos, que no pasan desapercibidos para los inversionistas:

1.- Recuperar la credibilidad del público, y

2.- Dejar de perder de dinero luego de su segunda asociación fallida con un grupo "empresarial" de España.

EL PASO DE "PRISA" POR

MEXICO, SIN PENA NI GLORIA

En buena medida, lo que es el consorcio mexicano TELEVISA, tiene su origen en la radio. Concretamente en la XEW, llamada por décadas "la voz de América Latina desde México". El reconocimiento a dicha raíz, así como un callado homenaje a su padre, don Emilio Azcárraga Vidaurreta, creador de esa radiodifusora que hizo época en el continente de habla hispana, motivaba que el ya fallecido Emilio Azcárraga Milmo --padre de Emilio Azcárraga Jean, presidente actual del Grupo--, afirmara a sus allegados que nunca vendería la división radiofónica del conglomerado.

Hoy, sin embargo, bajo la presidencia de Azcárraga Jean, una parte significativa del capital de la XEW, está en poder del Grupo Prisa, de origen hispano.

De poco o nada ha servido a la mexicana TELEVISA tener como socio al Grupo Prisa, pues nada favorable le ha aportado. Los mayores niveles de audiencia, por ejemplo, favorecen a la competencia. 

El modelo implementado por el Grupo de los Polanco hizo perder a la XEW la fisonomía radiofónica que por décadas generó elevados niveles de audiencia y nuevas figuras para el mundo del entretenimiento de habla hispana: las radionovelas y los programas en vivo, tanto los cómicos como los de carácter musical y de concurso.

 

(Hoy, por cierto, toda esta variedad de programas los ha sabido desarrollar la gran competidora de TELEVISA, es decir, TELEVISION AZTECA, de Ricardo Salinas Pliego).

La "novedad" que introdujo el grupo de los Polanco en la XEW fue un modelo ya agotado en México, que estaba en pleno declive: el de los noticieros de larga duración, que con José Gutiérrez Vivó a la cabeza, cansó a la ciudadanía, misma que prefirió la programación

familiar al estilo de la vieja XEW.

En efecto, el liderazgo en la radio lo ganó otro grupo radiofónico mexicano que asimiló el viejo estilo familiar de la antigua XEW, con programas como los de Yanet Arceo y Héctor Martínez Serrano. 

AZCARRAGA, MAL ASESORADO:

DE PRISA...A ROURES

Si el Grupo PRISA nada benéfico generó ni a TELEVISA ni a México en materia de radiodifusión, en cambio sí --por razones que expondremos mañana--, logró introducir en las emisiones del Grupo de Emilio Azcárraga, una carga ideológica ajena por completo a sus raíces, a sus intereses y la identidad nacionalmexicana.

El caso es que a pesar de esa fallida asociación con los Polanco, las mismas fuerzas ideológicas que condujeron a Emilio Azcárraga Jean a casarse con PRISA, resulta que lo empujaron a 

matrimoniarse en materia televisiva, pero en España, con Jaume Roures, viejo comunista de línea maoísta que aparece como cabeza del grupo MEDIAPRO.

Roures embarcó al Grupo de Azcárraga en la aventura de La Sexta, un canal que ha promovido más dolores de cabeza que beneficios a sus accionistas.

Vale la pena señalar que así como PRISA es un grupo extraordinariamente endeudado y ha tenido que vender paquetes significativos de sus acciones  con tal de obtener dinero para sobrevivir, La Sexta es una empresa con pérdidas monumentales. A pesar del favoritismo del gobierno socialista, ni en audiencia ni en beneficios financieros ha podido destacar. Por si ello fuera poco, la posibilidad de que se fusionara con otro grupo televisivo español, que le permitiera equilibrar sus cuentas, se ha ido posponiendo, lo que ha generado malestar entre sus accionistas, uno de los cuales es Televisa, presidido por Azcárraga Jean. Las dificultades de LaSexta no solamente son económicas sino también de credibilidad entre la opinión pública española.

La falta de utilidades de ese canal español, se observa reiteradamente en los resultados de TELEVISA.

El problema está en que ahora el grupo de Emilio Azcárraga se enfrenta de nueva cuenta al problema de credibilidad, pero también en México, donde la comunidad de Twiter organizó un boicot contra sus canales, en vista del menosprecio con que uno de los conductores de Televisa, Joaquín López Dóriga, se refirió a los usuarios de dicha Red.

No es la primera ocasión en que las Redes sociales se incomodan con la actitud asumida por los momentáneos conductores de Televisa. 

Como quiera que sea, credibilidad y malas inversiones y asociaciones con grupos económicos españoles, están dando un serio dolor de cabeza a Emilio Azcárraga Jean, algunos de cuyos asesores le hacen dar pasos indebidos.

Spain has become a real headache for the Mexican billionaire Emilio Azcarraga Jean, the principal shareholder of Hispanic television's biggest world TELEVISA.

Bad advice from a bad adviser, Azcarraga Jean had taken the decision to partner with the Marxist Jaume Roures, head of the Spanish consortium "Mediapro, which has gained space and money with personal relationships with the Spanish head of government yet, Socialist José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero.

That was why, as a result of such a society the Mexican television empire Televisa acquired 40% stake called Spanish channel La Sexta.

That is a priority that the work done in the editing booth, as relevant, to develop in our own agencies and professionals TVE.
5. It is very shocking and striking that some of the programs and facilities to produce Mediapro for TVE to be edited and assembled in the cockpit of TVE with our professionals, paying for it besides the CRTVE large amounts of money. It would be even more surprising that from now on TVE produces programs that had to be edited in Mediapro ... What are we playing? Who will benefit as this strange ...?
6. We feel shame that, according to data provided in the press, Mediapro obtain at least 50 million euros annually through programs and services performed for CRTVE.

As can be readily seen, the incursion into Spain has not proved beneficial for the group that it commands Emilio Azcarraga Jean. Neither economically nor politically.

Moreover, remember that last year there and advertisers withdrew their sponsorship of programs in La Sexta, owing to repeated attacks on the Church. Anyway ...
